Leading mid-tier accountancy firm French Duncan has joined HLB International, a leading worldwide network of independent professional accounting firms and business advisers, as its exclusive Scottish representative.
HLB International services clients through its member firms in over 110 countries, their 1,700 partners and 14,000 staff in 500 offices worldwide. Member firms are well-established locally with many firms ranked among the top 12 nationally.
Commenting on the membership, French Duncan managing partner, Graeme Finnie, said: “We are delighted to join such a dynamic and business-like organisation as HLB. HLB is renowned for its professionalism and we are convinced that membership will add considerable value to our clients as a consequence of the strength and quality of its international network.”
HLB UK representatives were “delighted that French Duncan has joined as our member for Scotland. HLB in the UK now has complete geographic cover with seven regional firms. We are particularly pleased to have recruited French Duncan as its ethos is very similar to the rest of the Federation and it will play a significant part in helping grow HLB’s presence in the UK Accounting and Tax market.”
Membership of HLB marks the latest step in French Duncan’s programme of development which last month saw it recognised as one of the UK’s fastest growing accountancy firms. French Duncan LLP has 20 partners and nearly 200 staff operating from a network of offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling, Hamilton, Dumbarton and Kirkintilloch.
HLB International is a member of the Forum of Firms and focuses on quality and personal service, reinforced by regular quality assurance reviews of all member firms, an up-to-date ISA compliant international audit manual and membership of external professional bodies focused on quality issues.
