HLB Gross Collins, P.C. was please to participate in Operation Hope again this year. Operation Hope is a non-profit organization designed to help teach today’s youth about financial empowerment. Several members of our firm went to Lindley 6th Grade Academy to teach the program in 5 different classes of 6th grade students. The 3 hour program covers the basics of banking, good credit, savings, interest, investments, budgeting, and overall financial management. The sessions are all presented with an overall theme of “dignity” and the principle that everyone has the right to lead a dignified life, fulfill their potential, and have the freedom to make decisions. Students from the school greeted us by reciting the school’s poem which is centered around the fact that each student can be “powerful beyond measure.” We hope that our lessons in financial responsibility will play a part in each of them truly living a life that is in fact powerful beyond measure.
Thank you to the students and faculty of Lindley 6th Grade Academy & thank you to Operation Hope for allowing us to be a part of such a wonderful initiative. Pictured below are the HLB Gross Collins, P.C. participants, along with students who recited the school’s poem and escorted us to and from our respective classrooms.
