HLB International Appoints New Members in Tanzania and Italy

HLB International, one of the leading international accountancy networks, has recently signed two new member firms. Joining the network are Mekonsult, based in Dar Es-Salaam, Tanzania, and Studio IFF Inturri Frangipane Ferrandi based in Brescia, Italy.

Established in 2004 and with Big Four-trained partners, Mekonsult provides a full-range of accounting and financial management services including audit, tax, accounting, consulting, fund management and credit management services.

The firm works for a wide range of clients including charities – NGOs, development projects and other non-profit entities- public sector and SMEs. Mekonsult has a number of international organisations in their portfolio of charities, as well as some foreign-owned enterprises.

In addition to professional registration and licenses by the local institute, Mekonsult is registered with the US Inspector General for audit of USAID funds in Tanzania, Controller and Auditor General Tanzania, The Bank of Tanzania/Central Bank as approved auditors of banks and financial institutions, as well as the Capital Markets regulator – as licensed investment advisers.

HLB’s new member in Italy is Studio IFF Inturri Frangipane Ferrandi (IFF), who focuses primarily on protection of the rights of intellectual and industrial property, drafting contracts, joint venture constitution, tax consulting, legal and tax due diligences, corporate law as well as on debt collection and on civil and working litigations.

Francesco Inturri, lawyer and partner at IFF, commented that “access to the HLB network will allow us to enhance value for our clients and to expand and handle more international assignments. IFF’s membership consolidates HLB International’s already strong presence in Italy where the network already comprises 11 member firms: in Milan, Rome, Turin, Rimini, Venice, Olbia (Sardinia), Pescara, Catania (Sicily), Naples and Avellino.

Brescia is the second largest city in Lombardy, after the regional capital Milan.
