HLB’s 2012 International Conference organized in Istanbul was a complete success with more than 120 participants from 40 countries across the world, including Richard Taylor and Michael Bohling from HLB Gross Collins, P.C. HLB’s International Conference is every year a great opportunity to discuss trends in the accounting, audit and tax profession as well as professionals’ expectations. Focusing on “Changing Worlds” as its core topic, this year’s conference has benefited from the views of such insightful speakers as Dr. Masum Türker, Board Member of IFAC and former Turkish Minister of Economy, and Pr. Cemal Ibis, member of IFAC and president of the Expert Accountants’ Association of Turkey (EAAT). Local media’s interest has also been raised as HLB is well-established in Turkey with member firms HLB Saygin and HLB Norm’s offices in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir.
