During 2009, the IFRS issued unique international financial reporting standards for small and medium sized entities in theirIFRS for SMEs. It looks like there may be a rebirth of desire for “small U.S. GAAP.” For small and medium size businesses, complying with IFRS can be cumbersome as many of the regulations were created with large publicly traded entities in mind. The idea of a compromise would appeal to many businesses. We will be keeping up with the potential changes and post updates as we have them.
